K. Atkins has a PhD in Political Theory and is currently an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Toronto (UTSC). The book was well received and won three prizes.<br \/>\nAtkins researches and writes about medical ethics; vulnerability and disability; sexuality and gender; human rights; feminism; legal theory; law; political theory\u00a0and; self-narrative\/memoir.<br \/>\nCurrently, Atkins is the primary investigator of a SSHRC funded research program entitled: the the PROUD Project. Through listening to the stories of disabled employees and the people who hire and supervise them, the PROUD Project hopes to create effective policies and guidelines to encourage the employment qualified disabled adults in Canada (and other countries).<br \/>\nAtkins is also<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chlo\u00eb G.
